The People Behind It
The Peptide Authority was born from a conversation between two friends while surfing along Oahu’s North Shore.

Stephen Kimball – Head of Research and Writing
Stephen is a veteran health and wellness writer with over 26 years of experience researching health, wellness, supplement and peptide industries. He has worked with over 1,000 brands ranging from independent supplement brands to established players in the health and wellness space.
Doing deep research for compounds for joint health, metabolic health, cognitive function, hormone balance, sleep, and immune support, often within the same year, forces a level of comparative understanding that specialization doesn’t. He’s learned to know the physiological effects of compounds on the human body for better health. And can recognize which claims hold up across categories, which mechanisms of action show up again and again in the research, and which patterns are industry-wide exaggeration versus genuine differentiation.
Working closely with the doctors and formulators behind these products has also given him practical insight into how research translates into policy: how clinical studies get filtered into consumer claims, where the gap between preliminary evidence and confident marketing usually opens up, and what legitimate expert review actually looks like versus a rubber stamp.
That perspective informs how he researches and writes about the peptide industry today, including its regulatory landscape, clinical evidence base, and the compounding pharmacy ecosystem that supports it.
Stephen’s approach prioritizes accuracy over hype. He flags where evidence is strong, where it’s preliminary, and where regulatory status remains unsettled, so readers can make informed decisions rather than relying on marketing claims alone.
Jake Cutler – Head of Editorial Strategy
