Retatrutide
Investigational — not approved
as of October 2026
By Stephen Kimball, 26+ years researching the health, wellness, supplement, and peptide industries
As of October 2026, retatrutide is still in clinical trials. It isn’t approved for any use, it isn’t part of any approved drug, and FDA says pharmacies can’t legally compound it. That means there’s no prescription route to it outside a clinical trial. Anything sold online as retatrutide is coming from the unregulated “research use only” market, and FDA has warned companies selling it that way.
